As the only clinical educator at St. Mary’s Hospital for the last seven years, Sharon works tirelessly to foster a collaborative learning culture. She is intentional in engaging staff across the site in education, from all disciplines and experience levels, firmly believing that people learn best together. She encourages staff to contribute to education and simulation opportunities so that they can learn from one another, and is careful to create a safe learning environment where staff feel supported and comfortable asking questions. With 27 years of nursing experience, Sharon openly shares her own learning experiences in a way that empowers staff to strive for their best without fear of making mistakes.

Sharon has a wide range of teaching styles and tailors education to specific groups, striving to make education fun and valuable for everyone. Among her many skills is the ability to connect with staff on a personal level, and she is highly respected by those who have an opportunity to learn from her. Sharon is passionate about learning and empowering everyone to do their best work. She is always happy to assist with a program or project when staff or leaders need a helping hand.
