Jody Tetz, LPN, Long Term Care

Jody is the very definition of respect. She loves her job and loves taking care of her residents and their families. She is sensitive to her colleague’s experiences and is able to make their day better by listing without judgment. Jody is able to find humour and perspective in any situation and this helps those around her relax and be happy. New team members gravitate to Jody because her positive attitude improves everyone’s day. She demonstrates the importance of a respectful attitude in the benefits it brings to her residents and families, but also to personal and team health. 

Families love Jody and trust the care she provides to their loved one. One can easily see the joy she brings to the residents. She values the importance of taking time to sit down with a resident and reminisce about their past, paint their nails and curl their hair. It does not matter to Jody if the resident is easy or hard to take care of; she understands and respects their right to express their feelings. Jody is flexible and willing to take on any role needed to help out where she can. What is most important to Jody is that her residents come first.
