In interdepartmental meetings, Denies uses her knowledge to provide better patient care by respectfully bringing forward solutions that consider the concerns and goals of all involved.

Denise is a leader in protecting patient and resident confidentiality and privacy. She follows Covenant standards and ensures patient trust by protecting confidentiality and privacy, something that is not always easy in a tight-knit rural community where many people know each other on a first name basis.

Denise brings innovation and wisdom to her practice as she adjusts care or service delivery to accommodate the individual needs of those being served. She is an exceptional collaborator with physicians and nurses to bring creative solutions forward to address medication supply challenges that arise in a rural and remote setting. Denise has been a tireless advocate for rural pharmacist services, leading to the successful assignment of a permanent clinical pharmacist for Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital. This much needed support would not have happened without Denise's multi-year dedication to highlight the key importance of a pharmacist for the site and her advocacy for the best patient and resident care.
