Angela puts her patient’s needs first. She is extremely empathic and senses her patients’ pains or concerns, even before they express them. This helps her best advocate for their needs. If Angela notices something that could be done to help, she quickly does it. She is the first to offer help and doesn’t expect any credit for it. Angela’s presence on the unit — offering a helping hand, improving the care environment or lending a supportive ear to coworkers —changes the environment around her for the better.

Angela naturally extends friendliness, kindness, compassion and grace to every person she meets. Angela has a special gift for palliative patients and is attentive to grieving family members. A member of the Palliative Care Society in the Bow Valley, she shares education and resources. Angela has a reputation of being non-judgmental, honest and compassionate. She is resourceful, helpful and goes out of her way to make others feel included. Planning a retirement for a 50-plus year employee and cherished member of the Covenant team is just one recent example of her self-giving and compassionate impact on everyone she encounters.
