Staff at Villa Caritas have come to know and trust Sam as a bright light, and patients have commented on how friendly and helpful Sam is. Sam's respectful demeanor makes being at work enjoyable and creates a warm and inviting place to offer and receive care. His enthusiasm and readiness to serve so respectfully are a great example for us all.

Sam's willingness to help others has saved the day countless times. A staff member from unit 3A noted, "Often when patients are discharged, they forget some of their belongings, but Sam willingly delivers these belongings for patients that are already discharged. He always maintains confidentiality and privacy." Sam always accommodates requests from the units with a joyful attitude and willingness to help.

Sam has regular encounters with patients during patient transports to attend appointments. He always demonstrates respect by calling patients by their first name and he treats everyone with dignity. Sam regularly transports patients to electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) early in the morning, returning them to Villa after their treatments. He recognizes the sensitive and personal nature of their appointments and respects their privacy and confidentiality.
