As a secretary with the spiritual care team, Salimah has lived the value of respect over time and in multiple roles inside and outside Covenant health.

Salimah carries herself with dignity and grace. She is polite, kind, caring, empathetic and genuine to everyone she comes into contact with. She demonstrates this in meetings, when interacting with staff that report to her, and when encountering other hospital staff in the cafeteria or the hallways.

Salimah has an aura of friendliness and openness that is relayed in her ever-present radiant smile. When you are with her, you feel welcomed, appreciated and heard. One chaplain shared how heartwarming it was for Salimah to tell them that she was praying for a challenging situation with their family, even though the two of them share a different religion and culture.

Salimah has had positions with different levels of access to private information and has consistently shown respect for that privacy. This demonstrates her respectful use of corporate systems designed to protect employees' privacy.
