Rebecca Colborne, nurse practitioner

Rebecca Colborne is the quintessential leader and nurse practitioner (NP) within Youville Home. She possesses superb clinical experience and knowledge competencies to facilitate and engage the residents, families, and staff when developing personalized care plans. She values the participation, desires and concerns of the residents and families.  

The testimony of her commitment is shown by the vast number of cards personally written to Rebecca from families. They thank her for her exceptional care and more importantly, her willingness to listen and provide personalized care to their loved one that was meaningful, respectful, and compassionate.

Rebecca fosters an environment of trust among all she works with as she takes the time to support residents and families with questions and concerns. She will go over and above to ensure that each resident gets personalized care, which may mean reaching out to other disciplines to support the needs of the resident. Staff trust Rebecca’s clinical judgment and often seek her advice on educational matters. She is always willing to support others in their learnings, such as mentoring nurse practitioner students or collaborating with other institutions to support research projects that will enhance the quality of life for our residents.
