Screeners are the first people you see when you enter the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, either as a staff member or as a visitor. They are in the unique position of working with visitors, staff, contractors, and residents.

The screeners strive to treat everyone with politeness and attentiveness. Screeners have the duty to ensure the expectations of the medical officer of health orders and the site requirements are being followed upon entry, but they have to balance that in such a way as to convey concern and respect for an individual's beliefs. Their caring and respect for everyone who comes through the doors is evident.

To have everyone who enters the doors—for whatever reason—feel welcomed and comfortable, makes the Edmonton General a safer and more amiable place to be.
