As part of Chateau Vitaline’s Food Services team, Wendy plays a critical role in enhancing quality of life for residents. You will often find her in the dining room during and after meal times, serving residents and taking the extra time to connect with them as individuals. She takes pride in ensuring meals are enjoyable and meet residents’ nutritional needs, taking the time to ask if they have enjoyed their meals and listening carefully to feedback. She shows courage in bringing complaints forward and actively seeks solutions to make things better. Residents feel comfortable sharing their opinions with her, and they trust that she will act on the feedback she receives.
Wendy also makes a point of getting to know residents’ likes and dislikes and doesn’t hesitate to suggest an alternative if a resident does not like a particular meal option. She does everything she can to get creative in finding solutions and is always full of ideas, often volunteering to make something that she knows a resident will enjoy. Wendy is also a pillar of support within her team, known for her willingness to lend a helping hand and solve problems that arise.
