Nursing Team – Acute and Long Term Care

Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital's Nursing Team practices selfless acts of compassion every day in the care they provide. Managing life and death situations in a rural and remote hospital is tough work and this team delivers exceptional, compassionate care that goes beyond what is expected. They have collected financial donations to help vulnerable patients affected by traumatic incidents, assisted individuals struggling with homelessness and addiction, and regularly provide comfort to palliative residents and their families. Team members recognize when someone is vulnerable and they treat all patients with dignity and kindness.

The team takes time to learn what is important to each individual, ensuring their wishes are being heard, and that they leave each encounter feeling understood. The team shares a common passion to pay attention to the little things that make a big difference, as well as the bigger things that impact patient care. Comments from patients often reflect the high degree of comfort and safety they feel in interacting with the nursing team. They comment that they feel truly cared for and welcomed as a treasured family member.
 
The nursing team pursues excellence in compassionate service and has achieved 100% rankings across all dimensions of quality in patient experience surveys, leading Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital to some of the highest patient ratings in the province.
