Staff on 8Y navigate complex medication conditions of many residents living on the unit, but despite these challenges are careful to manage their time and resources wisely to ensure residents receive the best possible care. The team is very conscientious of environmental stewardship—from turning off lights that are unneeded to minimizing waste and recycling whenever possible, staff strive to minimize environmental impacts during their day-to-day operations.

In keeping with environmental stewardship, 8Y staff have become champions of waste management and recycling protocols, and are diligent in reusing office supplies wherever they can. While stewardship is often upheld behind the scenes, its outcomes are widespread and impact many of our teams and residents. The 8Y team is a shining example of this, and they are admired by their colleagues throughout the Edmonton General.
