Gladys Holdsworth, clerk III

Gladys is a “go-to” person. She’s an invaluable part of Materials Management who completes requisitions, codes invoices, helps receive shipments, trains new staff and works long hours – always with a smile and a good sense of humour.

If supporting all departments with their ordering needs didn’t keep her busy enough, Gladys often steps out beyond her role, covering a clerk vacancy at Facilities, Maintenance and Engineering (FM&E). She’s trained many FM&E staff to use Oracle not only on-site, but also at other facilities such as Killam Health Centre, St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Vegreville and Mary Immaculate Care Centre in Mundare.

Gladys works tirelessly to help all departments become more efficient. She still finds time to contribute to team engagement events and, in general, make sure St. Mary’s Hospital is a safe and fun environment for everyone.
