Samina Pirani, scheduler

 

Samina's job requires her to effectively use her time wisely and to accomplish the very difficult tasks her role requires as a scheduler at Holy Cross Manor.

Scheduling and filling staff shifts is not an easy job, especially during a pandemic, but Samina effectively carries out her role with grace and compassion and does so with an ease that makes one feel comfortable and not stressed. Her door is always open and staff say she is approachable and does what she can to accommodate their needs. Samina is kind and caring and has a generous attitude toward the staff.

Samina is strongly supportive of building teams. She will order food so that staff are able to enjoy a hot treat and makes tea so that the lunch room is an inviting place for them to relax after a busy shift. She demonstrates to the staff that she cares and wants to ensure that they bring their best into the work place.

Samina demonstrates in all she does what stewardship looks like within a paradigm of very difficult circumstances. All who surround her see her as fair, understanding and supportive of their needs. Samina is deeply appreciated in all that she does. In her quiet way, she is a force to be reckoned with.
