North Cottage team, evening rotation

Everyone deserves respect. This belief is held dear by every member of the North Cottage team’s evening rotation. It guides the way they treat everyone – residents and staff – at Covenant Care’s Centre de Santé Saint-Thomas.

In caring for residents, the team always respects an individual’s values, culture and decisions. Team members follow the residents’ lead, asking first for their preference on clothes they’d like to wear or food they’d like to eat. They never move personal items without asking first and always confirming a resident wants their support before providing assistance.

The team respects privacy, knocking first before entering a room and always taking steps to protect a resident’s dignity when providing personal care. All health and private matters are kept confidential and never shared with others.

The North Cottage team is an inspiration. Their commitment to respect and courtesy has created a warmth and caring that is felt in every interaction with everyone – staff, residents and families.
