Nicolette (Nicky) Day, resident care manager

Nicolette (Nicky) is the quintessential leader and resident care manager at Youville Home. Nicky's communication skills are exemplary, building collaborative relationships with the multidisciplinary teams and supporting staff to deliver the highest quality of care.

Staff are comfortable with Nicky to be open and transparent in the care they deliver without fear of being reprimanded. She holds herself responsible for the success of the care by leading and setting the example of integrity. She follows up with staff promptly, fostering a safe, solution-based environment.  Youville Home has a high percentage of Reporting Learning System (RLS) reports due to the culture that she has fostered with the staff.

Nicky not only supports the staff to strive for quality care, but she also chairs the quality committee, implementing innovative projects to improve the organization's quality control and quality assurance outcomes. She is also part of the quality council liaising with the families and residents for solutions.
