Barbara Elton, care worker

Barb is a special person providing love and care for residents of St. Therese Villa. She gets to know and understand the residents’ needs and is there to help them before they even call for help.

As one family member wrote, “Barb provides the best care and understands the needs of my mother and my step-father. Barb is special as she tucks my mother and step-father into bed on nights that she is working.”

Barb shows the ability to be present for people in both joy and sorrow. During COVID-19, Barb has been called upon to work many extra shifts when needed. No matter how many extra shifts Barb works, she brings joy to the residents she cares for. Barb continues to care for residents even when she is experiencing the sorrow of lost residents.
